Storm Prediction: A new artist book by Katie Baldwin
In
Mexico I tried to follow the international news by reading the newspaper
La Jornada each morning. You can imagine how difficult this was for
me considering I was just learning Sapnish. I understood general information
about events, buy did not understand the details. I wasn’t exactly
sure what was going on in the world. But at night I dreamt of birds,
and I knew that things were going wrong everywhere, a storm was inevitable.
In the 1700’s a sailor believed that a dream of birds predicted
a storm. |
